Turbine Support Services takes their data to the cloud
October 29, 2011 marked the date of one of the worst winter storms in CT history. Over the course of 24 hrs, almost 90% of the state was without power due to significant damages to power lines from falling trees. The restoration effort took almost a full seven (7) days before power was restored to most areas of CT.
As a result of this crisis, Turbine Support Services, Inc. made a significant technology investment to upgrade their servers to the cloud and added redundant backup power services to the company headquarters. As a result, the company is now prepared for any future emergencies and can operate independently and efficiently regardless of the weather. In addition, moving all critical data and services to the cloud has now enabled them to be operational from anywhere across the planet.
